Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy

We offer the complete homodyne frequency domain FLIM system "LIFA" to be attached to a wide field fluorescence microscope. The main advantage of this system is its speed of acquisition. On average, a fluorescence lifetime image is generated within a few seconds down to less than a second of exposure time. Especially for time lapse experiments of living cell samples this feature is indispensable. See further for more LIFA details and FLIM options.
Intensified High-Speed cameras

Gated intensified High-Speed cameras and High-Speed camera attachment for high-speed & low light level imaging applications where the object itself is emitting light; such as combustion processes (flames and turbines), dynamic phenomena in living cells that emit fluorescence, etc.
Image Intensifiers

Lambert Instruments Image Intensifiers are Low Light Level camera attachments, generally containing an image intensifier tube integrated with a high voltage power supply and a relay lens. The image intensifier tube takes care of amplifying the brightness in the visible and near infrared of the observed scene, so that a dimly lit scene can be viewed by a camera or the human eye.
Intensified CCD cameras

An Intensified CDD (ICCD) camera is an electronic camera, analogue or digital, equipped with an intensified CCD as image sensor. The sensor uses an image intensifier that is fiber optically coupled to the CCD chip to increase the sensitivity down to single photon level.
Cooled CCD cameras

Custom Made Products

Imaging products for low light level applications, made according to customer specifications, such as: special multistage intensifiers, cooled intensifiers, intensified high speed cameras, ICCD cameras, image sensor with fiber optic input window. After analysing the application / problem we will advise the best possible solution.
LI-FLIM software
The user-friendly software is developed by Lambert Instruments and is used with the LIFA. With this package you can acquire single- and multifrequency lifetime images, process them and do analyses by statistics or polar plot. Time series can be done as well, for which the frequency domain FLIM is highly appropriate because of its fast acquisition possibilities.
It automatically recognizes connected devices. Among others different light sources are integrated in LI FLIM like the LEDs, the directly modulated laser diodes, and the Cobolt DPSS laser (not modulated). Additionally various detectors are integrated like the standard LI2CAM MD, but also the Andor Ixon EMCCD and a Roper Scientific / Photometrics camera for the lens-coupled option of the LIFA. Moreover the nanopositioning system NanoF100 (z-stepper) is integrated in the software which is ideal when using the LIFA with the Yokogawa spinning disk.
