Lambert High Speed Image Intensifier HiCATT

HiCATT25 image intensifer, high-speed camera attachment
The HiCATT, high-speed intensified camera attachment was designed to be used in combination with a high-speed camera. The image intensifier HiCATT, will increase the sensitivity of the high-speed camera and allow low-light-level imaging applications at frame rates up to 200.000 fps. The HiCATT, high-speed camera attachment is connected (F-mount or C-mount) to the high-speed camera for optimal flexibility. And is available in both 18mm and 25mm input diameter.
Dynamic Range
The HiCATT image intensifier, high-speed camera attachment widens the dynamic range of the high-speed camera. At the low end single photons can be detected while at high illumination levels the use of very short gate pulses (down to 40ns) brings down the duty cycle of the image intensifier 10,000 times. At the same time these short exposures yield sharp images of fast moving objects.
Lens Mounts
The Standard image intensifier HiCATT, high-speed camera attachment is equipped with F-mount at the input and C-mount at the output side. Optionally other mounts can be applied.

Low Jitter Digital Interface (HiCATT 25D)
With the Low Jitter Digital interface, gain and gating of the image intensifier HiCATT can be controlled by software. The Low Jitter Digital interface also supplies the DC voltages for the HiCATT high-speed camera attachment and the gating electronics. When connecting a trigger output signal from an attached high-speed camera to the Low Jitter Digital interface, gating is synchronised with the exposure period and frame rate of the high-speed camera.
