Dutch Annual meetings 2005
| Lambert Instruments presented during several meetings in The Netherlands the poster "Optical Sectioning FLIM using a Spinning Disk" (10,3Mb). The spinning disk technology makes it possible to obtain a better resolution of the intensity and lifetime images, as the emission, coming from planes just above or beneath the plane of interest, is reduced significantly. In collaboration with UT Twente (NL), lifetime images were made of mouse kidney samples. The experiments were done at the Olympus IX71 inverted fluorescence microscope with the Olympus disc scan unit (DSU) combined to the LIFA system. As excitation light a LED was used. The resulting images show improvement in lifetime resolution by rejecting out of focus signals. |
